BRP Road Patch®
Transport Rebuild East Coast

BRP Road Patch® has helped the East Coast team manage pavement repairs due to water ingress, with 50-60% more potholes occurring due to cyclones and heavy rain.  This case study profiles how BRP Road Patch has provided mitigation against a weakened pavement due to water ingress across State Highways’ 2 and 35.

BRP Road Patch®
Taranaki State Highway Maintenance

BRP Road Patch® has provided the Taranaki state highway maintenance team a maintenance solution that has proven to be an effective barrier against water intrusion helping eliminate repeat trips to repair weakened areas of pavement. This case study profiles the climatic conditions, typical applications and methodology adopted to make BRP Road Patch a seamless solution for remediation of well trafficked highway routes.

BRP Road Patch®
Downer Rotokawa

BRP Road Patch® provided an ideal surface repair for resurfacing sections of pavement on the Desert Road, State Highway 1 following pavement testing. This case study profiles how BRP Road Patch® was used to cover test patches taken from sections of SHI Turangi to Waiouru, where water penetration running up from a 300mm deep cement stablilised pavement was causing significant failures.

BRP Road Patch
Hurunui District Council

BRP Road Patch® has provided an inventive solution to prevent slippage on pedestrian ramps, with BRP Road Patch® being placed on top of metal ramps providing a friction surface allowing a safe crossing for pedestrians. This case study profiles how BRP Road Patch® was used as part of a revamp of Amberely Town Centre’s main street crossing ensuring an effective non-slip surface over the metal plates bridging kerb and channel.

MacRebur MR6

This was achieved without any interruption to ferry journeys. This case study profiles how SteelGuard XL was used to rejuvenate existing asphalt surfaces in stages including some older surfaces with exposed aggregates that had degraded due to construction traffic.

Boat ramp carpark and boatramp at Russell, NZ, surface coated with SteelGuard XL

SteelGuard XL
Russell Boat Ramp Upgrade

SteelGuard XL provided a final surface coat for the Russell Boat ramp carpark and ramp approach. This case study profiles how SteelGuard XL has provided a wearing surface for the Russell boat ramp approach and parking area, overlaying structural asphalt. SteelGuard’s coverage with higher film thickness due to higher aggregate/binder content helped fill in any voids in the asphalt.

Auckland International airport carpark with SteelGaurd XL applied as a cost-effective re-surfacing option

SteelGuard XL
International carpark changes at Auckland Airport

SteelGuard XL provided a cost-effective resurfacing option for lower-level carparks after construction work to add an elevated level above was completed. This case study outlines how SteelGuard XL provided an effective solution for this carpark retrofit project, tying in the new and aged asphalt.
